roos1: 2008-05-18 21:03:58 Sain kingiks põõsasroosi Helga. Tahan tema kohta infot. On see sort eestimaine, kui külmakindel see sort on, kuidas temaga ümber käia. Aitähh! | mariliiss: 2008-05-20 09:09:39 Description:
Helga ® is white or pure white modern border shrub rose growing up to 60-80cm high and 50cm wide. It belongs to the family of cluster flowered floribunda roses. Blooms repeatedly and very profusely in flushes throughout the season lasting from May to the first more serious frost. Flowers are double, very large and have a very light scent or no scent at all. Leaves are healthy, shiny and pale green. Helga has a vigorous upright growth. It is very resistent against different diseases and blooms reliably. Bred in Netherlands (1975) by De Ruiter Innovations BV. Floribunda roses in general are hardy to Zone 6, Zone 5 with winter protection. They require a location in full or partial sun and grow best on moist and well drained and rich soils. They have to be pruned in March or April leaving only 3-4 main branches. We remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut out canes that cross. When doing so we only leave 2-4 buds on each stem while the last one of them always has to face outward from the shrub. In case of 2-years old and older shrubs in March we cut out one of the old main branches completely to allow the shrub to regenerate regularly.
